Member Duties : This is a great opportunity to create community support and help make the impossible, possible! The VISTA will spend much time creating awareness about the need for these opportunities, they will recruit donations and volunteer help. They will create marketing materials, conduct lots of public speaking, and be a continuous cheerleader for the program. The VISTA will "build" a donation station from scratch! They will need to be able to organize the logistics of receiving and distrbuting donations, make scheduling decisions and organize a warehouse full of items. The VISTA will also secure funding where they will research and assist in grant writing, and secure donations from individuals and businesses throughout the community. The VISTA has the opportunity to get to know community members and work to connect families in need with donations of goods or services that will enhance a child's life.
