| Member Duties : The SCSC Summer VISTA Associate will help coordinate SCSC’s Summer Adventures Program. Summer Adventures is a fun 7-week summer learning program for East African elementary-aged students in and around the Tukwila School District. Through the program, students receive 2 hours of academic instruction each day and participate in themed experiential learning and field trips. Under the direction of SCSC’s Executive Director and Youth Programs Coordinator, the VISTA will provide classroom support; enhance curriculum materials; assist with recruitment and enrollment of students; recruit, train, and orient volunteers; seek community partners; and conduct program monitoring and evaluation.
