CTCC: College Access Program (CAP), New London

CT Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA program was developed in 2008 to address the local needs of low-income communities and to be a mechanism for community change. Our AmeriCorps VISTA members build, support, and deepen partnerships between campuses and local organizations in two areas: education and economic opportunity. The College Access Program (CAP) is a successful organization creating pathways to college for low-income families in Southeastern CT. The CAP is the only community-based organization in the region that supports college enrollment, persistence, and graduation among low-income youth. CAP is making preparations to bolster its Success programming support – intensive guidance to assist college students.
