Every year at Helena Area Habitat for Humanity we interact with over 1,000 volunteers, homeowner families and community stakeholders. In addition to the living allowance and education award, we also provide subsidized housing in our AmeriCorps house for $300/month, mileage during service hours, and a cellphone reimbursement. Located in central Montana, Helena is a small but vibrant community with easy access to vast exploration and outdoor activities. Member Duties : CONSTRUCTION CREW LEADER- The construction crew leader plays an integral part in building and repairing homes. Lead groups of skilled and unskilled volunteers and homeowner families in construction activities while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment, thus, developing and enhancing your volunteer management and construction skills. VOLUNTEER/FAMILY SERVICES COORDINATOR-This position will serve as both a volunteer and a family services coordinator. This role will recruit, assign and recognize volunteers serving with the Habitat organization. This member will prepare for new homeowner family orientations, house groundbreaking and dedications. The outcome will be enhanced customer service for new homeowner and an increase in services we provide. The volunteer services coordinator helps recruit, train, schedule and recognize volunteers while growing the volunteer base and advancing individual and group partnerships. Market within the community to recruit new volunteers.
