WSC, Red Cross NW Region, Disaster Preparedness & Response

Preparing for, preventing and responding to disasters is a vital part of the mission of the American Red Cross. As a volunteer-led organization, we accomplish this work with the help of more than 4,800 trained and committed volunteers who in our last fiscal year contributed more than 250,000 hours of service. We seek to leverage the talent, skill, and enthusiasm of AmeriCorps team members to help us amplify our efforts in both direct service provision and capacity building, with the ultimate outcome of delivering meaningful disaster resiliency to communities across the State of Washington. The Disaster Preparedness & Response coordinator will arrange and deliver disaster cycle services including preparedness education and client service capacity to our communities. There are 10 positions (Seattle-2, Tacoma-1, Sequim-2, Bremerton-1, Vancouver-2, Wenatchee-1, Yakima-1). Please note that all AmeriCorps positions are contingent upon funding.
