WSC, Red Cross Youth Preparedness

Preparing for, preventing and responding to disasters is a vital part of the mission of the American Red Cross. As a volunteer-led organization, we accomplish this work with the help of more than 4,800 trained and committed volunteers who in our last fiscal year contributed more than 250,000 hours of service. We seek to leverage the talent, skill, and enthusiasm of AmeriCorps team members to help us amplify our efforts in both direct service provision and capacity building, with the ultimate outcome of delivering meaningful disaster resiliency to communities across the State of Washington. The Disaster Preparedness Coordinator will arrange and deliver disaster preparedness education to primarily youth audiences.
