CHP Community Impact Measurement

Community Housing Partners’ (CHP) primary mission is to create affordable, green, sustainable housing opportunities and services for the people and communities we serve. As a CHP 2013 Summer VISTA, you will be directly involved in a Community Impact Measurement (CIM) initiative being conducted in one of our communities located in Charlottesville, VA. The objective of the project is to demonstrate the positive community impact we are making in this low-income neighborhood through the use of resident surveys, community stakeholder interviews, and a common set of measurement indicators. The goal of the project is to help inform future strategies for success and to enable CHP to demonstrate our community impact to our partners and funders. You will receive firsthand experience working with community members, volunteers and residents throughout the summer. Our commitment to you is to provide a great work environment and meaningful experiences. We are seeking individuals willing to commit 10 weeks of service beginning June 10, 2013. Although some travel to Charlottesville will be required (using CHP vehicles), the Summer VISTA position will be located at our corporate office in Christiansburg, VA. Housing in Blacksburg, VA will be provided.
