he Counseling Center's Mission is: To improve the health of our clients and our community by providing opportunities to evaluate and improve their physical, behavioral, and spiritual health. The Counseling Center's vision is: We believe that treatment and prevention services work, and that people can recover from addiction. We believe people can improve the quality of their lives, and restore their self-respect and reestablish themselves as productive individuals in the community. We believe that individuals that use prevention services learn new skills, gain new perspectives, and develop effective coping strategies which assist them in making choices that promote a healthy quality of life. Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment for women; women w/ children; & pregnant women Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment for men and women and women with children Transitional support services Supportive Housing for Men, Women, and Women with children Employment Supports Services Jail Diversion Services Community Relations Primary Health Care Mental Health Services Prevention and Outreach Services for area youth provides specifically, provides educational, motivational, recreational activities for children/youth focusing on building healthy relationships, self esteem, making good choices relating to alcohol and drugs/nutrition and health/physical fitness, being a good citizen, peer pressure,study skills, anger management, individual development, and confidence building, etc Develops partnerships with other community agencies as it relates to the above activities.

Member Duties : Develop a community assessment concerning healthy life choices: food,drug and alcohol related issues.(info from Students, parents and community leaders, faith based organizations.) -Build a team of leaders demonstrating collaboration with other agencies with regards to a unified health prevention message to be implemented/distributed -Identify and pursue funding sources to support and/or expand TCC prevention programming in elementary/middle schools and community youth that includes Summer Outreach Camp Publicize activities that member is working on (work with agency Community Relations staff) -Expand the scope of activities and opportunities for the Summer Outreach Camp and school based activities focusing on long term impact utilizing asset building, protective factors, nutrition, and life skills training as it relates and affects our children. Develop evaluation tool.
