NCC serves federal, state, and regional parks and public lands, most notably US Forest Service, Nevada State Parks, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management. The NCC provides agency support through environmental field research, environmental education, and direct service, such as trail building, watershed restoration, and forest fuels reduction. Member Duties : Assist Youth Education Coordinator with implementation of ongoing Great Basin Naturalists curriculum-based interpretive programming about the natural, geological and cultural history of the vicinity for on-site and school-based programs for K– high school groups; Assist with coordination of Great Basin Naturalists Summer Camp, which includes developing weekly curriculum, preparing materials, providing oversight for up to eight camp counselors, and ensuring the success and safety of the camp program; Assist with coordination of four weeks of residential camp located at Camp WeChMe in Galena Creek Park;and Assist with implementing the Summer Teen Leadership Academy, a counselor-in-training program for youth ages 13—17.
