MCC*Corps (Envionment focus-Northstar Foundation)

NorthStar Foundation fills a void in after-school programs in Omaha, Nebraska by providing the only all boys facility in the city that works to build promising futures for school-aged boys. NorthStar helps them achieve success both academically and in life through five focus areas which include: creating healthy lifestyles and providing experiential learning. Once established, the community garden located at 48th & Sahler will provide NorthStar with the unique opportunity to engage their at-risk youth in sustainable practices while developing practical skills. The MCC*Corps member will be placed within the foundation to assist with the operations and community outreach related to the garden as it is established in the community.
