Muscogee County UGA/Georgia 4-H AmeriCorps State Member

The 4-H/AmeriCorps State Member works with the County Extension Agent in planning, developing, and conducting several programs, clubs, and events that align with the AmeriCorps program objectives. The AmeriCorps member performs direct-service oriented duties (planning, implementation, and teaching) to assist the County Extension Agent in the day-to-day conduct of programs. Plans, organizes, schedules, and conducts a variety of activities, clubs, and programming. Engages volunteer leaders by providing them with training, program ideas, and coordinates the county volunteer registration database. Attends local, district, and state program activities and events alongside the County Extension Agent. Tracks and documents all data related to AmeriCorps performance measures and monthly reports to the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator. Participates in “Introduction to AmeriCorps” training, face-to-face district training in the fall, and monthly professional development webinars. Performs related work as required, including transportation of youth.

Member Duties : The 4-H/AmeriCorps Community Service Specialist works with the County Extension Agent in planning, developing, and conducting one of several county-sponsored programs and performs direct service oriented duties to assist the County Extension Agent in the day-to-day conduct of programs. Plans, organizes, schedules, and conducts a variety of program activities and events. Serves in a training role for volunteer leaders by providing them with program ideas and attends local, district, and state program activities and events alongside or in the place of the County Extension Agent. Performs related work as required and participates in monthly webinars and trainings. Assists County Extension Agent with the completion of the AmeriCorps grant related reports.
