Montana State Parks AmeriCorps 675 Hour Spring/Summer
Montana State Park AmeriCorps members love the outdoors and are passionate about improving opportunities for others to experience all that the state parks have to offer. They create educational programs, highlight park activities, and develop volunteer opportunities that get more people involved and excited about experiencing the outdoors. Members also work to enhance park land by developing nature trails, identifying invasive species, and conducting other outdoor activities. Service terms take place amid the stunning scenery, dazzling waters, geologic wonders, and cultural history of Montana State Parks. These parks are located across the state, and members will serve at individual parks according to their preferences and skills. Our specific site placements and position descirptions can be found at

Member Duties : This is a 675 hour, 42 hour/week position. Duties will include a variety of projects: improving the condition park land by organizing restoration projects or performing trail maintenance, leading nature walks and hikes, improving educational displays at visitor centers, developing service-learning projects for local students, overseeing service days, managing volunteer programs, representing state parks at community events, planning other projects specific to your skills and interests.
