The West Virginia Campus Compact West Virginia University Center for Civic Engagement VISTA will work to strengthen organizational and/or human capacity in low income communities by engaging campus volunteers, assist low income communities and organizations striving to address the causes and impacts of poverty through the acquistion and management of funding resources and creating methods to improve community service quality by campus volunteers at community organizations, and strengthen connections between low-income communities and existing organizations and agencies by working to deepen campus community partnerships with a special focus on partnerships that focus on the economic, health, and educational or revitalization of communities.

Member Duties : The VISTA will serve at the West Virginia University Center for Civic Engagement in Morgantown, West Virginia. The VISTA will coordinate with agencies, seek new partnerships, utilize the iServe database, conduct focus groups, identify grant resources, collect data about community impact,create a step-by-step training guide for students, and more.
