American Red Cross State Preparedness Corps
AmeriCorps members serving with our program will work in local communities across New York State to deliver information and resources to prepare for, prevent and respond to emergencies. Additionally, AmeriCorps members will seek to empower local community members and recruit individuals to volunteer with the American Red Cross through our community programs. Our program has full time positions available in Red Cross Chapters across New York State. Our expectation is that members will serve in a full time capacity for a minimum of 48 weeks.

Member Duties : In accordance with the mission of the American Red Cross, AmeriCorps State members serving with our program will focus their efforts on helping individuals and communities prepare for, prevent and respond to disaster situations. Through direct service activities, our AmeriCorps team will seek to increase access to critical preparedness and lifesaving training, engage communities in volunteer activities and create a culture of preparedness in communities across New York.
