Ecoservants

EcoServants is a non-profit, 501(c) 3, created in 2004 as a positive youth development program that helps provide employment to Lincoln countie’s youth and low income community. We work to create competitive wages, college credit, and scholarships. We are developing a program aimed at engaging middle school students in financial literacy and early college readiness. Lincoln County is a mountainous area with a population of 20,454. EcoServant’s mission is “To employ, engage, and educate youth to serve and restore our community and its natural resources”. Our mission is to help our youth become better equipped to engage society and provide them with tools and resources to become healthier and more sustainable adults. VISTA service is crucial in helping our community, especially our youth to be better educated and prepared for higher education and the workforce. The service area will be in Ruidoso, which is one of New Mexico’s most picturesque mountain communities. This program will create jobs, provide sustainability in financial futures, create financially enhanced youth and build a stronger infrastructure for EcoServants which helps fight poverty in Lincoln County. Ecoservants is one of the few youth serving organizations that seek to provide competitive wages and scholarships to one of New Mexico’s most underserved counties.
