Master Home Environmentalist program

The Master Home Environmentalist program provides free healthy home assessments to the City of Seattle residents. The healthy home checkup examines the home in terms of lead, asbestos, moisture and mold, poor indoor air quality, carbon monoxide, temperature, humidity, structural defects, plumbing issues and household hazardous chemicals. The members will perform healthy home assessments, attend educational events and health fairs, give presentations and assist in re-establishing a volunteer training. The volunteer training expands our service area tremendously. The program is housed at the American Lung Association’s office located at 822 John Street in Seattle, WA. Two workspaces will be provided for the members as well as access to office equipment including copiers, printers, etc. Own transportation is required to perform the home assessments and bus passes are also provided on days when a vehicle is not necessary. Parking will also be provided as needed. The ALA of the Mountain Pacific is an Equal Opportunity Employer. It is our policy to not discriminate based on race, color, gender, creed, religion, age, marital status, national origin, the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, veteran status or sexual orientation or any other legally-protected class. It is our policy to conform to all applicable laws and regulations affecting all protected classes.
