The focus of this AmeriCorps VISTA Project is to identify/create systems, tools and resources to better support public and nonprofit organizations in their anti-poverty programming efforts. AmeriCorps VISTA members will be placed at the Guam Volunteer Center GVC, UOG or approved GVC site location and will work in close coordination with the Serve Guam! Commission SGC supervision of Doris Aguon. ED., GVC Program Director or supervisor. Member Duties will include: 1.design, implement database for the GVC to track community volunteers enrolled, placed at partner agencies,2. develop tools application/registration forms, referral to partner agencies and partner organization agreement forms,3. improve the GVC website,4.develop outreach and marketing plan,5.conduct outreach sessions to potential community volunteers.

Member Duties : Member Duties : The AmeriCorps members will be placed at the Guam Volunteer Center at the University of Guam or Commission approved site and will work in close coordination with the Serve Guam! Commission under the supervision of Doris Aguon, Executive Director. The VISTA members' activities will include: 1) design and implement a database for the Guam Volunteer Center to track community volunteers that are enrolled and placed at partner agencies, 2) develop tools such as volunteer application/registration forms, a system of referral to partner agencies and partner organization agreement forms, 3) refine and improve the Guam Volunteer Center's website, 4) develop outreach and marketing plan for Guam Volunteer Center, and 5) conduct outreach sessions to potential community volunteers.
