Community Building Partnership for Youth in Transition

The Community Building Partnership for Youth in Transition (CBPYT) AmeriCorps Program seeks 2 part time members to assist in volunteer generation and service project planning for youth served by our program. Members will plan service projects for youth ages 15-22 using service learning curriculum and follow through with civic reflection activities. The goal of the two members will be to assist in creating positive volunteer experiences for youth and changing the perception that many youth from disadvantaged circumstances have that volunteerism is "court mandated community service" to a positive civic opportunity. Additional Qualifications: Members must be in enrolled in Denver Chafee Services by the first day of their term of service. To qualify for Denver Chafee Services you must have been in foster care for 6 months (not necessarily, continuously) before your 18th birthday.
