Working Wardrobes - Career Development Services Coordinator
Working Wardrobes is now seeking a self-starter, with program management, teaching or fundraising experience and an understanding of nonprofit practices, to support our Client Services in launching partnerships and serving over 5,000 clients annually. Your mission will be to help ensure our clients have the opportunity to identify their skills, increase self-esteem, navigate the job search and become informed about education options, wellness, life choices and financial literacy. As a result, the targeted population will develop the skills needed to move out of poverty and advance to self-sufficiency. Specific responsibilities include: building capacity for our client services program and Job Search Lab, marketing all workshops and trainings within the community to promote connectivity and partnerships, and planning for outreach and fund development. Qualifications: college degree or 2 years’ experience in a related field. Exposure or interest in grant submissions as a part of fund development is also valuable. Other ideal qualities include ability to work effectively with minimum supervision; strong sense of discretion and confidentiality; professional demeanor and proactive can-do attitude. Member Duties : This AmeriCorps VISTA member will build capacity for client services programs and our Job Search Lab by connecting with new agencies and volunteers in Orange County; identify the unique needs of clients and determine what types of specific programming we can provide for targeted populations; review current curriculum, identify areas for improvement and assist in further curriculum development; market all workshops and trainings within the community to promote connectivity and partnerships; develop marketing material for workshops and trainings including web content, flyers and distribution materials; manage client relationships; plan for outreach and fund development; identify 3 new referral agency partnerships for career development and wardrobe services, as well as 3 new local employers who would like to hire our clients; research grant and funding opportunities and market the program (to future volunteer facilitators/ funders).
