Waterbury AmeriCorps
 
 
 
The Waterbury AmeriCorps program is recruiting members to commit to a 450 hour service year. The members will receive training at Naugatuck Valley Community College and will mentor at-risk students in the Waterbury Public Schools. The mentoring will take place in school and in after school programs. Additionally, the Waterbury AmeriCorps members will create and administer community service projects in the local area. The Waterbury AmeriCorps members will receive a laoptop computer that will be used during service that can be kept upon completion of service. Also, the members will receive an Education Award in the amount of $1,468.
