Fayetteville State University's Office of College Access Programs' mission is to encourage and assist youth who are traditionally under-represented in post-secondary education with preparation for, entry into, and completion of a post-secondary education. The office is comprised of Talent Search (TRiO) Upward Bound (TRiO), Upward Bound Math & Science (TRIO) and 21st Century Community Learning Center. The Office provides a broad range of high-quality college preparatory services to students, parents, and educators.

Member Duties : The high school specialist will establish graduation support services based on best practices. Responsibilities include enhancing support services for decreasing under-matching and supporting participants with transitioning from high school into college; implementing evidence-based programming (college choice/tutoring) and monitoring fidelity implementation to support academic success for high school students at Title I schools; building infrastructure, policies and procedures to operate evidence-based strategies to support high school graduation and college enrollment (academic coaching, college choice, tutoring, etc.); and designing strategies for recruiting and retaining program participants.
