North MS VISTA Project
 
 
 
VISTA members dedicate one year of national service to build sustainable systems that connect the University of Mississippi to underserved communities throughout an 11-county area. By developing new, meaningful, and sustainable connections between UM and partner schools and nonprofits, VISTAs build capacity to move Mississippians toward academic success and higher education.

Member Duties : VISTAs will serve throughout North Mississippi to build sustainable systems for fighting poverty through education. VISTAs serve within local community agencies, under-performing schools, and organizations that provide educational supports like mentoring and tutoring. VISTAs also serve within the University of MS providing outreach to establish connections to underserved communities.
