IU SPEA VISTA Fellow-Health Foundation of Greater Indpls.
 
 
 
In collaboration with the Corporation for National and Community Service, Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) has established the IU SPEA VISTA Fellows program. The goal of the program is to provide transformative service experiences to some of the most talented professional graduate students in public affairs/policy in the United States. We expect that SPEA VISTA Fellows will work with their respective host organizations to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in meeting goals. All applicants must be enrolled in a SPEA graduate program at Indiana University. Host site description: The Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis builds partnerships, encourages innovative solutions, and provides support to projects that improve the health of central Indiana citizens, particularly those who are underserved or disadvantaged. The organization's current priorities include school-based and adolescent health, HIV/AIDS, and youth obesity; the Indiana AIDS Fund, Learning Well, and FitCity are programs of The Health Foundation.

Member Duties : The SPEA VISTA Fellow will develop a dental health model for Learning Well's school-based health clinics; expand the reach and impact of FitCity's information, resources, and community programs for fitness and healthy eating programs to youth and their families; and assist in building a sustainable fundraising model for the Indiana AIDS Fund.
