EmergeWorks Business Dev (Emerge)

This position is part of the Emerge VISTA program and will be located at Emerge Headquarters in Minneapolis. This position will work with the social enterprise area of Emerge, called EmergeWORKS. EmergeWORKS is not your typical staffing agency! We provide temporary, temp-to-hire and permanent employment opportunities specifically directed to underemployed individuals, with a focus finding jobs for exoffenders. EmergeWORKS is nationally recognized for our industry innovation and have been providing customized staffing solutions to Twin Cities businesses since 1995. Recently, due to changing trends in the Twin Cities employment market, EmergeWORKS management has needed to develop a new strategy to do workforce and staffing in order to meet the changing needs of both our business partners and our job seekers. This rebranding has involved both some larger-scale internal operational changes as well as a new business development plan. Internally, we have redefined roles whereby each job seeker receives benefit of all agency programs through a team effort resulting in more accessibility to training, job coaching, and financial counseling and employment opportunities. EmergeWORKS, unlike other staffing agencies, wants to go beyond just finding our participants a job; our goal is to assist in long term career development.
