Mass. Adoption-MARE -Build Corporate & Foundation Support
 
 
 
- Develop and update listing of local fraternal/community organizations (Rotary Clubs, Masons, Chambers of Commerce, etc.). - Research fraternal organizations' need and process for arranging for speakers at their meetings/programs. - Participate in speaking programs with these organizations. - Follow up with business contacts made through these speaking opportunities to build relationships, develop more contacts, recruit sponsors, Walk for Adoption teams, etc. - Reach out to all these contacts with a variety of ways they can raise awareness of the children in need of adoption. - Build, maintain, and expand those relationships - Update MARE's Giftworks database/fundraising software, including recommending Smartlists, running reports, analyzing results, maintaining records of grant applications, individual and corporate solicitations. - Research potential sponsors, donors, and grantmakers. Research includes corporate/fraternal organization phone calls to find/solicit decision-makers. - Maintain schedule, ensure timely and high quality completion of grant proposals, donor deliverables (grant reports, sponsor benefits, etc.) - Draft grant proposals; make appropriate edits upon recommendation of supervisor; submit grant proposal and all required and/or beneficial supporting documents on time. - Assist and/or take the lead in the design and preparation of solicitation and event materials. - Assist in implementing fundraising and/or publicity for MARE events, including preparing/packing materials, facilitating arrangements with participants, staffing events onsite, including an occasional weekend or evening as necessary. - Draft and distribute press releases. - Attend events, statewide, as appropriate. - Attend staff meetings - Write articles for MARE e-news

Member Duties : Grant, corporate, and fraternal organization research; outreach; grantwriting; partnership proposal writing; partnership recruitment/phone calls/presentations; attend events statewide including evenings/weekends (ability to drive or arrange carpooling is required); help coordinate Walk/Run for Adoption fundraising event; record-keeping; follow-up; collaboration with MARE staff, partners, foundations.
