Genesys Works -- Saint Paul VISTA Program

Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that trains and employs high school seniors to perform professional services for major corporations. Our mission is to enable economically-disadvantaged students to enter the economic mainstream by providing them the knowledge and work experience required to succeed as technical professionals. We employ high school seniors in paid internships in the IT departments of Fortune 1000 companies across the Twin Cities. While the core of the Genesys Works program is the internship, we realize this is only the start of their professional career. In our Alumni Coordinator, we are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual ready to manage and build programming for Alumni of Genesys Works as they continue onto college and beyond. This person will need to have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to motivate and inspire students to remain engaged with Genesys Works and on track to graduate from college. 97% of Genesys Works graduates enroll in college—your task will be to help them make it to graduation day by providing them with a network of support and the resources to do so! **This VISTA position is sponsored by the Saint Paul VISTA Program. Hosted in Mayor Chris Coleman's Office, the Saint Paul VISTA Program is comprised of a city-wide cohort of individuals -- placed at community organizations and schools -- dedicated to shaping the educational landscape for youth and families in Saint Paul.**
