Outreach Specialist
 
 
 
As an AmeriCorps member with the Central Wisconsin Resiliency Project, the Outreach Specialist will work closely with the Wood County Health Department staff in the Communities Putting Prevention to Work program. The term of the position will be April 2011—September 2011 (approximately 22 weeks). The Outreach Specialist will focus on increasing community health education, improving knowledge and awareness of physical activity, and nutrition initiatives in progress in Wood County. The position will build and maintain strong community partnerships, expand relationships, and assist in coordination of events such as meetings, health fairs, etc

Member Duties : The Outreach Assistant will: - Maintain communication with other AmeriCorps members on the Communities Putting Prevention to Work team in order to best promote their initiatives in the community - Develop and distribute promotional materials - Represent CPPW at community events and activities - Cultivate new stakeholders and partners for CPPW
