1010 Development Corporation's mission is to preserve, develop and manage high quality service-enriched affordable housing for low-income families and seniors, as well as act as a catalyst for positive change in the communities that we serve. 1010 provides quality affordable housing and services that leverage the talent and resources of residents, volunteers and neighbors. We form diverse partnerships with nonprofit and for-profit affordable housing developers; local businesses; as well as community and faith-based organizations to maximize our impact and reach. 1010's capacity-building goals are to: 1) Focus on data-driven community, fund, and partnership development, 2) Strengthen grant applications for social services, predevelopment funding and general operating support, 3) Enhance our capabilities to better serve residents and clients from the community, 4) Generate more targeted donor requests, 5) Enable greater transparency and accountability through benchmarks for donor relations, 6) Fully incorporate a systematic evaluation process for housing and social services impact, as well as donor and grant analysis, 7) Leverage core-function volunteer talent to expand our capabilities and service outcomes.

Member Duties : Build up database of donors, grant opportunities and volunteer resources for tracking and analysis; Research, prepare first drafts, manage deadlines and package grant applications for low-income housing development and resident/community services; Assist with core-function volunteer recruitment and engagement; Organize and vet advisory group members and community supporters for projects; Implement and further develop survey tools to assess 1010's housing and resident/community services; Work with the CEO to prepare and submit major development financing applications. Strong candidates will demonstrate: 1) An attitude of excellence, 2) Readiness for accelerated, intensive learning and growth, 3) Ability to manage multiple projects, 4) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office with limited supervision, 5) Excellent research, writing, and editing skills. Please be prepared to submit three writing samples upon request.
