Cornerstone Assistance Network Medical Clinic
 
 
 
The Cornerstone Medical Clinic provides free comprehensive medical care to the uninsured living in Tarrant County. The Clinic was established in 1998 in an effort to address the growing need for health care for the uninsured in Tarrant County. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas has the highest percentage of uninsured residents in the nation. Cornerstone's Medical Clinic addresses this need for affordable primary and preventative health care by offering a range of services Our objective is to obtain a Community Awareness program that will be presented to organizations and professional groups. The clinic is supported by grants and obtaining funding through grant submission will be a key function as well as other fund raising activities. Our clinic also wants to conduct a comprehensive community survey that will allow us to adapt the clinic outreach to fit the needs of the community. The position is located at 3500 Noble Avenue, Fort Worth, TX. The pay rate is $946 per month BEFORE taxes.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will help develop a donor base of organizations that will be providing donations on a regular basis to assist in the sustainability of the clinic and the free services it provides to medically uninsured residents. The member will network in the community by attending meetings and presenting an overview of the clinic and why others should donate in addition to increasing donors and supporters through social media. The VISTA will also increase funds for the clinic by researching, writing, and submitting new grants as well as developing a storybook of clinic success stories to be used in social media, grant writing and presentations. The member must be highly familiar with social media and its usage in marketing. A vehicle with proof of insurance is also required for service.
