Rebuilding Together is a housing nonprofit with affiliates across the country. Together we transform the lives of low-income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing our communities. Rebuilding Together provides homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modification and energy efficient upgrades. On average, our homeowners live at or below the poverty level and are forced to choose between food, medicine and shelter needs. We provide these critical repairs at no cost to our homeowners. Rebuilding Together is often the last resort to preserving their homeownership - their only personal asset.

Member Duties : Rebuilding Together CapacityCorps is seeking an AmeriCorps Community Partner Coordinator to serve full-time from January 10 to December 7, 2022. In this position, you will support our disaster readiness and recovery program in the gulf coast. You will report to the Rebuilding Together National office, but service time will be divided into 80% Community Partner Coordinator and 20% time for direct hands-on service with the Rebuilding Together New Orleans affiliate. The goal is for you to understand the larger community partnerships, while also understanding the hands-on work at a home – it takes both to help communities thrive after disaster strikes. You will strive to build trust and awareness among targeted client populations most in need of our services and activate the local community to get involved.
