AmeriCorps Youth Transition Project
 
 
 
AmeriCorps members will serve full time (1700 hours), three quarter time (1200 hours) or half time (900 hours) in one of the following positions: Work Readiness Mentor, Wellness Mentor, Financial Literacy Mentor, Mentor Recruiter, Academic Advisor, Independent Living Mentor, or a Community Advocate. Members serve with a selected group of individuals in small group or individual session settings. Members provide enriching and experiential mentoring sessions, as well as creating fun and exciting special activities to further enhance skill building. Members will also come together for service projects to benefit partnering agencies in the Jacksonville community. All positions are currently open.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps members help individuals with disabilities build critical skills in the following areas: academia, independent living, wellness, work readiness and financial literacy. Mentor Recruiters will focus their efforts on volunteer recruitment. AmeriCorps members serve at various locations in Jacksonville, FL depending on their preference and the area of need.
