UALR Children International Next Move Corps
 
 
 
Around the world, Children International is helping 335,000 children in 11 countries by providing meaningful benefits and services to help children grown up confident, healthy and education. UALR Children International serves as CIs only U.S. site UALR Children International sponsors 3,000 children, kindergarten through 12th grade with the help of more than 10,000 individual sponsors. Through the affordable monthly giving program, sponsored children and youth receive the right help at the right time, including: Health screenings Comprehensive dental care Clothing and shoes School supplies Access to after-school programs, summer camps and youth programs Encouragement and hope

Member Duties : Primary Education & Enrichment Advocates will be responsible for serving as tutors and mentors for children in grades K-5 Monday through Thursday from 2-6. Members will serve within our after school program with certified teachers in curricular-based literacy and math classes. Members will also assist with fun enrichment activities throughout the year and special field trips. Members will also assist in our summer camp from June to July. Youth Peer Advocate Members will assist in our youth programs that run Monday through Thursday from 4-8. Members will be responsible in being an active participant with UALR CI's youth development endeavors. Sponsorship Members will assist specifically with CI gift distribution and writing sponsor letters. All members will be serving as positive role models for children and youth within our programs. Members will also be required to participate in special community service projects throughout the year.
