Montana Energy Corps -Sustainable Business Council
 
 
 
Energy Corps members will be placed with organizations and agencies in communities around Montana providing service that will achieve the following project goals: 1) Hands On Energy Assistance: Montana Energy Corps members will provide hands-on energy efficiency and alternative energy assistance to underserved Montana communities and groups. 2) Energy Education and Outreach: Energy Corps members will create energy awareness through education and outreach activities to those groups and communities most affected by energy and climate fluctuations. 3) Community Energy Planning and Organizing: Energy Corps members will work to form energy action networks and organize communities to develop sustainable strategic energy plans.

Member Duties : Help to develop and implement themes and messaging for two Buy Local campaigns that will reach large audiences through newsletters, social media, tabling events, newspapers, and radio stations. o Sustainable Holiday Campaign o Buy Local Food Campaign o Gather and analyze pre- and post-campaign surveys ¿ Coordinate/plan nine monthly educational events and one large lecture event o Facilitate outreach via press releases, social media o Arrange event logistics ¿ Develop sustainability news reporting program o Attend local meetings, research state, and national policies o Create educational materials via SBC website, newsletter, etc. o Solicit evaluations to evaluate program effectiveness ¿ Identify and develop strategies for disseminating portions of an existing sustainability training program to new audiences o Research and update content o Develop infographics, short videos, webinars, web forms o Pilot among small organizations to assess sustainability impacts
