EECO/ MSU Volunteer Coordinator
 
 
 
EECO members will lend support to student volunteers and the community partners of Montclair State University. Specifically,the EECO member will serve in the Center for Student Involvement to coordinate a community service resource center. The purpose of the Center is to provide a clearinghouse for co-curricular community service projects and to act as a nexus to connect the campus to the larger community by linking student volunteer resources to community need. As such, an EECO member will be engaged in the following activities: (1) Recruit and coordinate student volunteers as well as on and off campus community service opportunities; (2) Maintain a community service database and volunteer tracking system that matches student volunteers to community service projects and captures and manages data regarding community partnerships; (3) Evaluate and assess service project effectiveness and partner satisfaction; (4) Coordinate with student organizations (fraternities, sororities, student organizations, and service clubs, etc.) to promote services of the resource center and facilitate links to the needs of the community; (5) Lead and coordinate community service projects with support of Bonner Leaders for national days of service that are open and available to all MSU students; (6) Support the creation of a Community Service Advisory Board; and (7) Coordinate and support service-learning projects in the surrounding communities.
