Jesuit Volunteers at St. Labre Schools

Education goes beyond the classroom, so you can too! Whether you are providing physical education, stocking the food pantry, or getting to know students one-on-one as your support them academically, you can gain professional skills by serving as a Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps Member in one of our southeastern Montana locales at St. Labre Schools. These unique schools serve indigenous students with indigenous leadership. Housing is provided as you live in community. This year of service is a unique opportunity to deepen your sense of purpose through what you will learn about yourself as you serve. But, you don't have to wait to make an impact. You will make a difference in the lives of the students that you serve by accompanying them all year long. Admission to our program is rolling - the sooner you apply, the sooner you will know where next year will take you. Follow us on Instagram @jvcnorthwest to get a glimpse of life as a JV, including where they serve. Search all our roles at https://jvcnorthwest.org/volunteer-opportunities/. Next deadline: April 28. Member Duties : St. Labre Schools are looking for Jesuit Volunteer/AmeriCorps members excited to bring their skills and passions to this unique school community. Every volunteer will build lifelong relationships with students. At the beginning of the service year, the school works with each volunteer to determine exactly where and how they can bring their skills and gifts to make a real impact. Each day is a little different, as volunteers support students and classrooms, mentor students as they plan their own activities, support student life through the food pantry, activities in the dorm, accompanying cultural trips and more. The school community provides a sense of belonging while challenging volunteers to learn and grow. Every volunteer is immersed in Crow and Northern Cheyenne culture, serving in an indigenous-led school. Make a real, positive, difference in the lives of students. Spend a year of service living in beautiful Montana, resting from your days under the Big Sky.
