Easter Seals Wisconsin Camp Outreach Liaison

The mission of Easter Seals Wisconsin (ESW) is to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers, and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. ESW operates Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp in Wisconsin Dells, WI, two therapeutic recreation programs for children, youth, and adults with a wide range of disabilities. Campers engage in a full range of accessible activities in a safe and supportive environment which provides from 1:1 to 3:1 care, depending on severity of disability, while parents and caregivers receive a much-needed break from 24-hour care.

Member Duties : The primary focus of the Camp Outreach Liaison is to work with staff to develop materials and cultivate relationships with statewide organizations. Additionally, the member will aid in the promotion and expansion of new and existing programs including outreach to educational professionals, service providers, and caregivers. This individual must be comfortable interacting with the public, communicate effectively, and be highly organized.This position is highly independent serving 450 hours (15 hours/week) from September through May, and is based out of the ESW office in Madison, WI. A required training weekend is held September 9-11, 2016 in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Member will receive a living allowance and, upon successful completion, an education award of $1,527.45.
