Campus Corps Leader - Fort Belknap College
 
 
 
Fort Belknap College (FBC) is located in Harlem, Montana, on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation. The mission of FBC is to provide quality post-secondary education for residents of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation and surrounding communities. The college will help individuals improve their lives by offering them an opportunity to maintain the cultural integrity of the Gros Ventre and Assiniboine Tribes as well as succeed in an American technological society. The Campus Corps project is sponsored locally by the Student Support Services department at FBC, with an emphasis on college access, student support and retention.

Member Duties : The Campus Corps Leader at Fort Belknap College will work to engage students in the community with programs such as the Red Whip Center, USDA Extension Office, Harlem Public Schools, and at community functions benefiting youth and Elders. The Leader will plan and implement special projects for the campus and community throughout the year. Working with staff and faculty, the Leader will promote student volunteerism and service-learning, with the rationale that engaged students are more likely to be retained and earn their degrees than those who are not.
