AmeriCorps VISTA is an incredible opportunity to make a difference in your life and in the lives of those around you, while earning a living allowance and $5,550 for college. It's a one-year commitment to national service that will challenge you to put your skills and ideals to work while helping Interval House to build stronger, healthier, and more independent lives for domestic violence victims and their children. For 33 years, Interval House has been at the forefront of the addressing domestic violence, developing innovative programs and services that have been recognized with over 400 prestigious awards, including three Presidential Awards, two California Governor's Awards, and a U.S. Department of Justice Award, citing Interval House as a model domestic violence program to the nation. Interval House is now accepting applications for a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA member to serve as a Self-Sufficiency Program Coordinator. This person will strengthen and sustain a new Self-Sufficiency Program, which will help to facilitate upward mobility for underserved victims of domestic violence and their families build employment skills and financial assets.
