CIA/Richland County Health Department

The Richland County Health Department is a progressive agency that is known for its innovative approach to creating healthy communities in Eastern Montana. It is not your typical health department as demonstrated in its ability to bring advances in public health to the community in a home town manner through relationships with non-traditional partners. Although we are a frontier community we offer the technology and advancement of the new millennium. To enrich our response to the modern day needs of frontier life we are establishing a multi-faceted approach.Through a comprehensive approach communities can share and maximize scarce resources, and develop an approach that is sustainable. This holistic strategy has incorporated all dimensions of the problems that face communities including an innovative approach to public health system improvement in Northeastern Montana. The VISTA will assess the effectiveness of this comprehensive approach of both the delivery of public health and direct health care services and assist in the creation of a Health Improvement Plan that will map the future of health care in our region of the state.
