Washington Campus Compact VISTA Leader
 
 
 
Washington Campus Compact is a statewide consortium of higher education institutions that have joined together to advance the public purpose of colleges and universities, help students become engaged leaders, and strengthen communities. Members of the WACC VISTA team build the capacity of campus-community partnerships by leveraging campus and community resources to address the critical issues of education and food access and security. Join the Washington Campus Compact (WACC) VISTA Project in supporting a statewide team of 12 VISTAs as they build the capacity of anti-poverty programs by leveraging campus and community partnerships! Drawing on your previous AmeriCorps, VISTA, or Peace Corps experience, you will cultivate the professional and personal development of VISTAs across the state. You will be based in the WACC office on Western Washington University's campus in the "City of Subdued Excitement," Bellingham, Washington. **Please note: You must have served a full term as either AmeriCorps Member, VISTA member, or Peace Corps member.

Member Duties : The VISTA Leader will provide training, technical assistance, resources, and support to the WACC VISTA Project team across the state. The VISTA Leader will maintain regular communication with all team members via phone, email, periodic in-person meetings, and site visits. They will develop a minimum of 4 member training modules and will help to promote and facilitate those activities as needed. They will coordinate the VISTA member recruitment process for new members. They will develop additional resource materials as needed and keep VISTA members up to date on professional development and training opportunities. As part of the WACC office team, the VISTA Leader will also support other WACC initiatives and programs as decided by WACC office staff through the Leader's term of service. Such projects may include coordinating assessment initiatives and contributing to WACC event planning and implementation.
