Louisiana Bucket Brigade - Social Entrepreneur
 
 
 
Activities Include: Network and liaison with other community organizations, non-profits and businesses to maximize synergistic relationships and complement existing resources. Identify and pursue all funding opportunities made possible by local business and other like-minded groups. Work closely with Lieutenant Governors Office of Social Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurs of New Orleans (SENO) to receive mentoring and pursue funding opportunities. Hold discussions with solar power and green jobs organizations and companies to create synergistic relationships for the communities we serve. Develop short and long-term business plans for innovative, creative income generating ideas. Develop and support the implementation of plan to increase revenue from Earth Day Festival in April 2010. Identify and apply for grants for the capital investments needed to implement social entrepreneurial plans prioritized by the Program/Fundraising Committee. Enter the best plans into social entrepreneurship contests Lt. Governors office, Americorps Social Innovations Fund, Skoll Foundation. Qualifications and Experience: Possess excellent organizational, communication, writing, and presentation skills Degree in Business preferred Experience developing business plans required, for non-profits preferred Experience fundraising from non-grant sources Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, strong initiative Strong networking skills Experience planning fundraising events
