College Health Corps VISTA Leader, MN Campus Compact
 
 
 
Minnesota Campus Compact (MNCC) leverages the collective assets of higher education institutions and communities, building partnerships and educating students to develop creative solutions to pressing public issues. We are the only coalition in Minnesota that brings together a critical mass of all types of higher education institutions -public and private; two-year and four-year; rural, urban, and suburban- dedicated to the civic purposes of higher education. The position start date is flexible and may also include an August, 2013 start.

Member Duties : APPLICANTS MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE ONE VISTA SERVICE TERM BEFORE BECOMING A VISTA LEADER. The College Health Corps VISTA Leader's primary responsibility will be to support the work of 10 VISTAs at various campus and community sites. General duties include: Communicate with VISTAs regularly to determine progress and to provide support; Provide technical assistance and resources to the VISTAs about health issues, VISTA, and leveraging campus resources; Assist in reviewing monthly progress reports and communicating program results; Manage and create online communications/social media, including bi-weekly newsletter, blog, Facebook, etc.; Develop training events, team building and reflection activities; Conduct site visits; Manage logistical concerns for VISTAs; Assist with the recruitment and selection of host sites and VISTAs; Participate in MNCC staff meetings, events, strategic planning, etc.; Participate in the InterCorps Council of MN (ICC).
