Cornerstone- Volunteers of America- Resource Dev (Dallas)

Volunteers of America (VOATX) is a faith based, non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities reach their full spiritual, emotional and physical potential and wellbeing through a vast array of services that target the elderly, the intellectually disabled, those striving to overcome substance abuse, and those transitioning from correctional centers. With a history of nearly 100 years of service in the state, VOATX has a proven track record of compassionately serving, and meeting the needs of, some of Texas’ most vulnerable residents, including: at-risk youth; the elderly; individuals suffering from cognitive and developmental disabilities; individuals recovering from alcohol and substance abuse; former inmates; homeless men women and children; and veterans. VOATX's resource development VISTA members will develop sustainable systems that will help us better serve our clients and donors. Projects include developing a system to gather and share client stories in a meaningful and thoughtful way so that other may understand the impact of our programs; assisting with grant proposals for our evidence-based programs; continuing the development of processes and systems that help us better track and steward donors and analyze donor information for more strategic outreach; and assisting in the Hope for the Holidays Giving Campaign to ensure that individuals in our programs receive gifts for the holidays. Serving with VOATX, you will enjoy the opportunity to promote the culture of service within our communities, our programs, our clients and staff. Working closely with clients, colleagues and community members, you will serve to plan program tours; cultivate donors; support funding requests; develop strategic relationships; represent VOATX in the community; and enhance the services provided to our clients. This is a great opportunity to embrace your passion for service while also gaining valuable experience within the non-profit community.
