Are you passionate about helping at-risk children and teens in your community? So are we! Promise House runs seven programs that provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, pregnant and parenting teen services, counseling, medical care and education to homeless and runaway youth ages 0-24. Since our founding in 1984, we have served more than 70,000 children, teens and families. Because 98% of our clients come from low to poverty-level income backgrounds, all of our services are free. To serve youth more effectively, we hope to expand our foster care program. There are more than 2500 children currently in foster care in the Dallas area, and this number continues to grow each year. The goal is for Promise House's foster care program to locate and offer more parents the rewarding opportunity to share their homes – and lives – with children in need of care and housing.

Member Duties : The Foster Care Coordinator will work to expand the foster care program for at-risk or homeless youth. You will network with, promote, market, and advertise to recruit quality families for the program using various venues and resources; coordinate recruitment events as well as informational and orientation sessions; research, purchase, and maintain necessary promotional materials; meet with prospective foster families to explain the program and assist with the training of the parents; develop training manual for foster parents; and develop policies and procedures for the program. You must provide your own reliable transportation & proof of insurance. The position is at 224 W. Page Avenue, Dallas, TX. Pay is $983/month before taxes. TB test is required and VeriFYI background check will be conducted.
