The Self-Sufficiency projects focus on increasing financial literacy, providing information and assistance on public benefits, free income tax preparation, and links to sustaining career choices for low-income working individuals and families.

Member Duties : VISTAs assist us with growing and advancing our self-sufficiency programs. They help to build partnerships with local and state organizations and agencies, recruit and manage volunteers, develop procedures and mechanisms for evaluating our progress, develop processes and fundraising ideas to sustain our programs, develop and update publications, and assist in our advocacy and policy work. In addition, the lead VISTA will coordinate with our partner agencies VISTA meetings and trainings and develop additional trainings and resources for the department.
