Learn about the area and vision at: and at As a program of Rotary First Harvest (RFH), Harvest Against Hunger enlists small to medium-sized farms to partner and connect with hunger relief efforts in local communities throughout Washington. For 30+ years, RFH has focused on connecting and collaborating between different groups (farmers, truckers, food banks and volunteers) to gather food that would otherwise go to waste. Harvest Against Hunger has been named “one of the most effective AmeriCorps programs in the nation” – and with good reason. HAH is a collaborative program that places AmeriCorps VISTA members (known as Harvest VISTA) in communities around Washington to develop gleaning and produce recovery programs to support local hunger relief groups.
