The goal of our VISTA project is focused on the development of programming on campuses across New Hampshire that will increase access and retention to higher education for low income individuals by providing programming focused on improving college aspirations, increasing the belief that college is an option and increasing access to higher education for low income individuals seeking higher education.

Member Duties : VISTAS will develop programming for low income communities in Northern New England that increases college access and ensures graduation for low income college students. This will be carried out in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, recruiting and training volunteers to work with students and families on college aspirations, preparedness, the application process and accessing financial aid; organizing college visits; supporting initiatives that encourage students to increase academic rigor through course selection, organizing peer to peer panels and forging and enhancing college and K-12 partnerships.
