26-27 Jefferson Land Trust Place-Based Youth Engagement

This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and opening until filled. Jefferson Land Trust is a grassroots community organization. Our mission is to help the community preserve open space, working lands, and habitat forever. We do this by protecting and caring for properties. Our efforts promote species and forest diversity, healthy habitats, and productive agriculture. Youth education and engagement are key factors for the long-term health of the lands we protect and the health of our community. The member will help us provide accessible and locally relevant K-12 educational programming. They will serve students in public school settings and during field-based programming. The member will focus on improving engagement and social emotional learning. They will also support summer programming and habitat enhancement on the land used for education programming. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in early August. Monthly stipend: $3,047.
