26-27 North Olympic Salmon Community Engagement Spec

This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. The North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) is a non-profit organization on the North Olympic Peninsula. We promote robust wild salmon stocks for families, fishers, and local economies by furthering habitat restoration and education. NOSC is a Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group. We are designated by the State of Washington to assist with salmon recovery efforts within our region, which is from the Hood Canal to Cape Flattery. The member will serve on a project to expand NOSC's community education and engagement programs. They will engage previously unreached audiences and pilot new programming. This includes preparing and delivering salmon education programs and engagement opportunities with schools, community members, and community partners. We are recruiting two members. Both members will start in September. One member will serve through mid-May. The other will serve through mid-July. Applicants will have the chance to share which length of position they are interested in during the interview. We expect to begin rolling interviews in July. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
