The Ministry of Caring provides a network of services in Wilmington, DE area. Our motto, The poor should never be treated poorly." holds true each day as the Ministry works t eradicate homelessness and poverty and help those most in need rise to self-sufficiency. The Job Placement Center (JPC) works with clients to develop life skills for job searching , employment, job retention, and advancement, with the goal f obtaining long-term employment. To enable these individuals to find and sustain employment, child care, wardrobe, and transportation assistance are available. JPC works with employers in the community to locate job opportunities, and flows up regularly with the employer and employee/client to ensure stability and increase job retention. Please note, Member will have episodic interaction with vulnerable populations due t our client base.

Member Duties : Consult with clients regarding their resumes. Create resumes for clients; instruct clients in resume creation. Revise exiting client resumes to update, condense, or improve readability. Assist clients in obtaining and retaining employment in conjunction with job counselors and assistant job counselors. Follow up with clients on an as-needed basis. Assist clients in writing cover letters. Explain and demonstrate computer skills for clients who are unfamiliar with the technology. Search for open positions appropriate to clients interests and experience and refer to clients in collaboration with assigned job counselor.
